At St Mark's we are now following the Sounds Write phonics programme.  This is a systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) programme that we chose from an approved Government list.  Although mostly aimed at Early Years and KS1, we use it across the whole school.  Teaching assistants are also receiving training and it will be used as an intervention for KS2 children as well.  It is a thorough and effective scheme that we are already seeing the results from.
